Summary: We collect minimal data needed to generate your astrology chart and improve your experience. We do not sell your data to third parties. You can request deletion anytime by emailing us.

1. Who We Are

NakshatraZone ("the App", "we", "us") is an AI-powered Vedic astrology platform developed and operated by PrimeNexa Technologies. Our platform provides astrological chart generation, AI-powered insights, and predictive analysis based on birth data entered by users.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Data: Full name, email address, password (hashed — never stored in plain text)
  • Birth Data: Date of birth, time of birth, place of birth (city/coordinates), gender
  • Subscription Data: Coupon codes used for premium activation (no payment card data stored currently)

2.2 Data Generated by the App

  • Astrological Charts: Calculated Vedic birth charts, divisional charts (D1, D9, D10, D24, etc.)
  • AI Insight History: AI-generated interpretations tied to your chart (stored per session)
  • Usage Patterns: Features accessed, chart generation frequency (for improving the product)

2.3 Technical Data (Automatic)

  • IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
  • Authentication tokens (JWT — stored in your browser's localStorage, expire in 7 days)
  • Server-side logs for error diagnostics and security monitoring

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To calculate and display your Vedic astrological charts and predictions
  • To generate AI-powered insights via our OpenAI integration
  • To authenticate your identity and protect your account
  • To communicate service updates, account changes, and support responses
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
  • To process payments once our our authorised payment gateway integration goes live (billing data will be handled by our authorised payment gateway directly — we will not store card details)

4. Third-Party Services

We use select third-party services that may process your data under their own privacy policies:

  • OpenAI (GPT API): Birth chart data and context are sent to OpenAI's API to generate personalized insights. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. We send only the minimum data necessary for insight generation.
  • our authorised payment gateway (Coming Soon): Once payment processing is enabled, our authorised payment gateway will handle all financial transactions. our authorised payment gateway is PCI-DSS compliant. We will never store payment card details on our servers.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • All data is stored on secured servers with access controls
  • The application is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption in transit)
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms before storage
  • Authentication uses signed JWT tokens with 7-day expiry
  • We conduct periodic security reviews of our infrastructure

6. Data Retention

  • Your account and chart data is retained for as long as your account is active
  • Upon account deletion request, your personal data is removed within 30 days
  • Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes
  • Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for product analytics

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data via your account settings
  • Deletion: Request complete erasure of your account and associated data
  • Portability: Request your chart data in a portable format (JSON/PDF)
  • Objection: Opt out of non-essential data processing at any time

8. Cookies & Local Storage

NakshatraZone uses browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to store your authentication token and theme preference. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any advertising network. You may clear it at any time via your browser settings.

9. Children's Privacy

NakshatraZone is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data to our platform, please contact us immediately for removal.

10. Compliance

This policy is designed to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Amendment) Act, 2008 (India), as well as principles aligned with GDPR (EU) for international users. We will update this policy as new regulations or product features require.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For significant changes, we will notify registered users via email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before the change takes effect.
